Ever since I was a young one I thought the song "Hang on Sloopy" was called Hang on Snoopy and was about the dog from "The Charley Brown show, Boy! All these years and I didn't know, How come nobody told me he he. Sloopy is the nick name of a Lady called Dorothy Sloop  who was a Jaz singer back in the 1950's What I also didn't know was The singer and guitarist of the band "The McCoys" whom sang the song Hang on Sloopy was none other then Rick Derringer. Rick Derringer, after playing with the McCoys went on to Edger Winter and did such hits as "Free Ride, and Frankenstein then later as solo he had the Hit Rock & Roll, Hoochie Koo. Just some little Rock n' Roll I thought I would pass on.

Randy, a dear friend from down in the USA Inquired how my new Birdy was doing, so I thought I would capture 5 minutes of Gizmo's (I didn't name the bird it was already named)  life and share it with the world. Everyone deserves their 5 minutes of fame, so here is Gizmo's he he. He/she is making himself/herself at home, seems to be fair happy. For the first few days was rather agressive in not wanting to be handled, but is slowly getting used to me. For some unknown reason, the bird likes to climb under my shirt and hang upside down inside my shirt sleave. Trying to get the bird interested in fruit and vegies, but that is still a little slow going. He/she loves pasta noodles. loves breaking them into small peices then chewing on them. if your interested, on my mediaplayer is 5 minutes of Gizmo that was recorded when the bird was alone.  anway, a few photos and sounds of Gizmo  the Lovebird.

Got called into work Saturday so this was a short weekend.Did get out Sunday for 6 hours and enjoyed it. Seems strange to see winter-like conditions here on the west coast, but at least it is the -7c that we had last week. Today was just above the zero mark, some roads were not the greatest but overall no problems. I sure do not feel rested up thou, Saturday was a killer. Had a major pipe break happen up on the 3rd floor of the comercial spaces. After fixing the leak, there was water everywhere, I mean like 2 inches deep of water over a large area on two different floor. It took me hours with an extractor to pick up the water. Then we have not had garbage pickup for 6 day due to the cold and snowy weather and the garbage shute was plugged up to the 7th floor. Lots of fun. Well I'm heading to sleep and rest these sore bones  .
